4.1. The clearing of a 22.4km x 6m wide area along pre-marked lines. The line is marked at ≤200m centers and at corners. Each surveying
point must be returned to its original point after clearing. The terrain
must be cleared and levelled to the extent that all grass and
vegetation is removed. Any rubble must be spread evenly to both
sides of the line.
4.2. The drilling of holes of exactly 400mm diameter x 800mm deep. The
holes must be drilled at exactly 3,06m centers along the cleared
line mentioned above. The drilling of holes will be done over a
maximum period of 4 months or 80 weekdays.
4.3. Each hole must be kept clean with no debris or previously
excavated soil in the holes. There is an estimated 7,345 holes to be
drilled and maintained. The line for the holes is marked at ≤200m
centers and at corners. It is for the subcontractor to ensure that
holes are accurately spaced and aligned. Precision is an absolute
requirement.
